From Corporate Marketing to Consulting

helping CRE & Construction Businesses Market with Confidence

For years, I worked in corporate marketing for CRE and construction firms, including Franjo Construction & affiliates, Hanna Commercial, and Lee & Associates. Finding marketing professionals who actually understood this industry felt impossible.

Every project felt like a constant crash course: explaining what an OM is, how to lay out an RFP response, or the difference between a GC and a developer. It was frustrating, inefficient, and left me feeling overwhelmed.

So in 2024, I left my corporate role to offer what I wish had existed—a marketing partner who doesn’t need hand-holding, who knows this industry inside and out, and who delivers marketing that actually works for CRE and construction.

journey begins
Joined CRE Firm

I joined as an admin & started supporting marketing within a few months: market research, social media, graphic design, events, and a new agent onboarding guide.

2017
growth
Started Freelancing

While working full-time, I started freelancing. This included ghostwriting, designing websites, graphic design, email marketing, and social media. 

Clients varied from commercial real estate developers, appraisers, brokers, apartment community owner, non-profits, residential realtors, cybersecurity, and a handful in other industries.

2020
into construction
Entered Construction Industry

I was the first ever in-house marketing staff for Franjo Construction & its multiple affiliates. In my time as a one-person department, I handled everything from social media, email marketing, internal communications, all graphic & proposal design, copywriting, website content, events & sponsorships, online reviews, marketing planning, trade show materials, corporate report design and more.

Revenue is confidential, but it grew by 9 figures annually.

Civic Engagement

Early in 2020, I joined the Communications Committee of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Pittsburgh. By 2021, I was tapped to join the Board of Directors as Communications Director. After 2 years, I moved on to Events Co-Director before ending my term in 2024.

Brand Awareness

I became Director of Marketing for Western PA branch of Lee & Associates, a commercial real estate brokerage. 

My responsibilities included social media, email marketing, events & sponsorships, promotional materials, website design & content, and supporting design of proposals and brochures.

I also did a complete redesign of the capital markets team's offering memorandums, giving them a signature look.

Returned to Consulting & Freelance

During the previous 11 years, it was always nearly impossible to find agencies, freelancers, or potential employees who knew this industry. That's why I created my crash course to help new entrants get a leg up.
